Survey
[edit]- Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with
*'''Support'''
or*'''Oppose'''
, then sign your comment with~~~~
. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
- Support – as nom. It is standard to name articles after the noun form, not the hyphenated adjective form of compounds (as in automatic repeat-request protocol). Dicklyon (talk) 04:12, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Request for move (capitalization)
[edit]According to [1], the correct capitalization is Automatic Repeat reQuest. Ideally the content located at this article should be moved to Automatic Repeat reQuest.

- On the other hand, WP:MOS explicitly states the capitalization for highlighting the source of acronyms should not be done. (Personally, I don't care.) And since neither of the words in automatic repeat request are proper nouns, following wikipedia policy everything should be lower-case. Nageh (talk) 15:58, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
